  • JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    • Report to the General Manager

    • Execute a variety of front desk functions in compliance with The Stack Davis standards, in the best interest of the community, staff, and business

    • Execute a variety of gym-wide cleaning and maintenance functions in compliance with The Stack Davis standards, as part of an effort to minimize the potential transmission of communicable disease or illnesses

    • Hours per week dependent upon Guest demand

    • Starting pay rate: $18.00 per hour depending on experience 

    • Eligible for health insurance with significant company contribution toward premiums, provided an average weekly clock of at least 30 hours for at least 12 weeks

    • Key position with rapidly growing company dedicated to Employee growth and advancement

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of 2 years in face-to-face customer service, preferably with a fitness and climbing facility 

    • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills

    • A self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision

    FUNCTIONS
    With the objective of providing world-class customer service and maintaining a facility that is recognized by Guests as the cleanest of its kind, including, but not limited to:

    • Manage Guest check-in, including waiver execution, and facility introduction

    • Manage membership and retail sales

    • Handle incoming phone calls

    • Manage PA system, including music and announcements

    • Handle Guest issues

    • On a continual basis, clean and maintain climbing areas, fitness areas, common areas, among others, while maintaining an accurate log of which tasks were completed and when

    • Foster a positive, supportive environment for all Staff and visitors

    FUNCTIONS

    • Process Café orders, transactions, and deliverables in a precise and timely manner

    • Serve each product to the highest standard possible, as intended by the vendor and as desired by the customer

    • Operate in accordance with local and state laws and food safety guidelines, while maintaining a stellar reputation with visitors and Health Inspectors alike

    • On a continual basis, clean and maintain the Café station, adjacent common areas, among others, while maintaining an accurate log of which tasks were completed and when

    • Foster a positive, supportive environment for all visitors and Staff members

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Minimum of 2 years in childcare or youth programs, preferably with a fitness and climbing facility 

    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

    • Motivated to teach, guide, support, and inspire new and experienced climbers of all ages

    • Strong commitment to the highest degree of sanitation and cleanliness

    • A self-starter, can work independently with minimal supervision

    FUNCTIONS
    With the objective of leading programs that entertain, challenge, and ultimately fulfill climbers of all experience levels:

    • Manage Program check-ins, including waiver execution and payment

    • Prepare and maintain a clean and safe space for climbing and non-climbing program activities

    • Equip youth with the physical and cognitive tools they need for a positive climbing experience

    • Use and contribute to the archival of Youth Program Instructor tools, including but not limited to Rosters, Journals, Activities Toolkits, etc.

    • Foster a positive, supportive environment for all visitors and Staff members.

  • The Stack Davis is a premier bouldering facility in Davis, CA. We are located in a 12,000 square foot warehouse featuring concrete floors, protective rubber flooring, carpeted padding, and restrooms, all of which require daily attention.

    We are seeking dependable, motivated, and detail-oriented individuals to join our team and maintain this space to the degree that is expected of a world-class facility. Prior janitorial experience is preferred, however, we are willing to train those who are able to demonstrate foundational skills and a desire to learn/apply standards.

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    • Part-time position reporting to the Facilities Manager

    • Maintain and execute a robust cleaning and maintenance schedule to effectively keep the facility operating at the highest level of cleanliness and usability

    • 10-20 hours per week

    • Starting pay rate: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience

    • Eligible for health insurance with significant company contribution toward premiums, provided an average weekly clock of at least 30 hours for at least 12 weeks

    • Key position with a rapidly growing company dedicated to employee growth and advancement

    • Must be able to perform some duties outside of business operating hours (M-F: 8am - 10pm, SS: 8am - 6pm) and is responsible for coordinating schedule coverage if needed

    • Expected to train new hires on facilities standards, lead by example, and uphold those standards within their team

    • Ability to follow specific instructions, work independently, and clearly communicate operational needs

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Highly organized and communicative

    • Enthusiastic and committed to working outside of business hours as needed

    • Comfortable operating commercial cleaning machines such as floor auto scrubbers, steam cleaners, commercial vacuums, etc.

    • US work authorization (Required)

    • Janitorial experience: 1 year (Preferred)

    • Clear background check

    FUNCTIONS
    With the objective of keeping the facility operating at the highest level of cleanliness and usability:

    • Follow all health and safety regulations

    • Stock and maintain operational inventory vital to facility maintenance and cleaning

    • Evaluate operations to identify opportunities for reducing waste and improving efficiency. Implement practices that minimize product loss, optimize inventory management, and ensure sustainable use of resources while maintaining high-quality standards.

    • Create and execute an effective cleaning schedule for all aspects of the facility including:

      • Bathrooms and showers

      • Climbing mats

      • Stretching and Fitness areas

      • Storeroom

      • Café and Front Desk areas

      • Exterior areas

    • Report to Facilities Manager and inspect, fix and repair facility equipment or infrastructure as directed.

    • Maintain equipment or hardware vital to operations of the facility including but not limited to:

      • Exercise equipment

      • Bathroom hardware and equipment

      • Cleaning equipment

      • Security and access

      • Signage and outdoor appearance
